Our SF fieldtrip was a blast. I started off meeting up with Elizabeth and Sara to take Bart to the city. We toured the Mission District and stopped by a video film company, then hit up a few places to get inspiration for our 3D projects followed up by dinner at an awesome falafel place close to ATA. Then we met up with everyone else and Robyn and spent the next three hours trying to absorb as much as possible from Craig Baldwin who proceeded to give us a humongous video history lesson. This man is amazing and his knowledge is off the charts. However, I was indeed having a rough time making notes to reference later. His film storage library blew my mind. Afterwards I decided to look him up on the internet and this man has more entries than you can imagine and his career spans decades! I did however feel like a mole after spending so much time in his basement studio because I need light, light, light as an artist! The site logo I felt I had to share it with you. There were some ideas for a 3D project, but I am not sure I am ready for video production, but we will see!
yes! light is much needed after that underground excursion, glad you were inspired and had a good time!
